Ann Carter, 83, Appling, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on May 11, 2023.
Ann was born in Thomson, Georgia on August 1, 1939. She retired from the Medical College as an oncology nurse after 20 years. She loved Whiteoak Campground, and attended camp meeting since she was a child. Ann loved spending time with friends and family.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband, James Earl Carter; her parents, Robert E. McCorkle and Louise McCorkle; her brothers, Bobby McCorkle and Ray McCorkle and her sister, Marylois McGahee. Left to cherish her memory are her, daughters, Shelby Farley (Jerry) and Yvonne Gough; her grandchildren, Jeremy Farley (Elizabeth), Jamie Farley (Jessica), Jody Farley (Miranda), Nolan Gough (Lauren) and London Gough and her great grandchildren, Aaron Farley, Leah Farley, Jackson Farley and Holden Gough.
Her Funeral Service will be on Monday, May 15, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Marshall Baptist Church, 436 Marshall Church Road, Thomson, Georgia 30824. The Family will receive friends at Marshall Baptist one hour prior to the service. The interment will follow service at Whiteoak Methodist Church Cemetery. The Pallbearers for her service are Nolan Gough, London Gough, Jeremy Farley, Jamie Farley, Jody Farley and Aaron Farley.
