Zaida R. Morris

Zaida R. Morris Appling, GA - Mrs. Zaida Rollins Morris, 90, entered into rest Monday, February 20, 2012 at Doctors Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Curry B. Morris. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jeff Meeks officiating. Mrs. Morris was born in Vidette, Georgia and lived in Appling, Georgia most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Henry U. Rollins and the late Johnnie Belle Burke Rollins. Mrs. Morris had retired from the Columbia County Board of Elections as Registrar and was Methodist by faith. Survivors include her sister, Lois R. Miller, of South Bound Brook, New Jersey, special nieces, Angela K. Fox and Paula K. McNair, both of Appling, Georgia and numerous other nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth C. Morris, and daughter, Susan M. Morris. Beggs Funeral Home, 799 Cobbham Road, Thomson, GA is in charge of all arrangements.
