Dearing, Georgia- Mr. Willis James Hill, 72, of Hillman- Gay Rd. entered into rest September 2, 2016 at his residence.
Mr. Hill was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Willis Hill and the late Audrey Taylor Hill. He served in the U. S. Army. Mr. Hill lived most of his life in Richmond and McDuffie County, Georgia and was a retired Lineman from Georgia Power with 34 years of service. He attended Mt. Tabor Baptist Church and was a member of the Buckeye Hunting Club.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Shirley Hill; son, Darrell Hill; daughter, Natalie Wilson (Will); nephew, Jack Mims and niece, Sherry Amerson White.
Graveside services will be held at 3 o'clock p.m., Sunday, September 4 th at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens with Rev. Mike Sutphin officiating. Pallbearers will be: Jon Smith, Dewayne Radford, Jimmy Ewest, Jack Mims, Bubba Clark and Tim Boiter. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Buckeye Hunting Club.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Hill's family would like to give special gratitude to their close friends for all they have done during his illness.
