William Bradford "Brad" Poole, Sr.

Sparta, GA- Mr. William Bradford "Brad" Poole, Sr., 87, entered into rest May 18, 2016.

Mr. Poole was a native of Hancock County, GA and was the son of the late Herbert Radcliffe Poole, Sr. and the late Maggie Lou Dermody Poole. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict and was retired from the U. S. Air Force. He also worked many years for the City of Sparta as the superintendent of water works. Mr. Poole was a cabinet maker and enjoyed woodworking. He was predeceased by a son, Donald Poole.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Ruth Rawls Poole; son, William Bradford "Bill" Poole, Jr. (Donna) of Eatonton, GA; daughters, Carol Bryant (Jesse) of Martinez, GA, Melinda Lively (Miller) of Waynesboro, GA; 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Graveside services with military honors will be held at 2 o'clock p.m., Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens, Thomson, GA. Rev. Susan Burg will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 1 until 1:45 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
