William Robert Husfelt

McDuffie County

William Robert Husfelt, 86, Thomson, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on November 3, 2024, at his home.

He was born in Chester, Pennsylvania on June 21, 1938, grew up in Earleville, Maryland, lived in Evans and moved to McDuffie County in 2021.  William served his country in the Army and worked as a supervisor with Johnson Controls until his retirement.  He was Methodist by faith, enjoyed feeding and watching birds, partaking of moonshine, called wrestling events (WWE) his soap operas and flower gardening.  William also loved spending time with his dog, "Ginger"  and spending time with his family and friends.  When he, his kids and grandchildren were younger, he loved taking them fishing and just being outdoors.

William was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Ann Husfelt; his parents, John Husfelt and Thelma Cannon Husfelt and his daughter, Janie Chance.  His survivors include his daughter, Kristie Davis and son-in-law Elvin Davis; five grandchildren, Angie, Alaysha, Michael, Taylor and Willie  and three great grandchildren, Kai, Johnny and Donnie.
