Mr. William Estes "Billy" Hogan, 64, of Morningside Drive entered into rest on Sunday, November 4, 2012 at University Hospital McDuffie. He was the son of the late Thomas B. Hogan, Jr. & the late Dorothy Estes Hogan.
Mr. Hogan was a lifelong resident of Lincolnton, a 1966 graduate of Lincolnton High School, and a 1970 graduate of the University of Georgia. He was formerly involved with the Lincoln County Historical Society in the establishment of the Historical Park as well as with the Lincolnton-Lincoln County Development Authority.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce W. Hogan; a son, Dr. William E. Hogan & wife, Dr. Laura Ann Hogan of Findlay, OH; a daughter, Jana Hogan Turner & husband, James E. Turner of Lincolnton; two brothers: Thomas B. Hogan, III of Greenville, SC and Joseph M. Hogan of Lincolnton; along with four grandchildren: Brianna Hogan, Brice Hogan, Logan and Morgan Lynn Turner.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00pm on Thursday, November 8, 2012 from the Lincolnton Baptist Church with Rev. Dan Rosser officiating. Interment will follow in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 9:00pm on Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
