William C. "Bill" Bryant, Jr. Thomson, Ga. - Mr. William C. "Bill" Bryant, Jr. 77 of South Lake Drive entered into rest on Monday, January 11, 2010 at his residence. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens with Rev. Charles Broome officiating. Pallbearers will be: Cody Howard, Blake Bryant, Matthew Bryant, Joel Cleveland, Bobby Cushman, and Dexter Lovins. Mr. Bryant was born in Columbus, Georgia and was the son of the late William C. Bryant, Sr. and the late Lola Clinkscales Bryant. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict on a destroyer in the South Central Pacific. Mr. Bryant was a 1959 graduate of Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama where he earned a degree in Engineering. He was employed by Thomson Company for 28 years and retired from Chardan, Ltd. in Thomson after 14 years. Mr. Bryant is survived by his wife of 52 years, Barbara Rogers Bryant; his son, Gary Bryant of Macon, GA; his daughter and son-in-law, Connie and James Livingston of Buford, GA; two sisters, Catherine Muse ( Hershel) and Marie Mays both of Hollins, AL; his grandchildren, Matthew Bryant, Blake Bryant and Brooke Livingston; great-grandchildren, Landon Bryant and Audrey Bryant. He was preceded in death by a son Roger Bryant. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at the funeral home.
