Mr. William C. "Bill" Howard, Jr., 75 of Plantation Point Rd., Lincolnton entered into rest on Friday, June 24, 2016.
Mr. Howard, son of the late William C. and Edna Hensler Howard, was born in the Cobbham Community . He grew up on Watkins St. in Augusta, served in the US Navy and served on the USS Midway Aircraft Carrier. In 1962, he opened Howard's Appliance on Broad St. and has operated there since that time. In addition to his appliance business, Mr. Howard enjoyed cattle farming, baling hay, planting crops, attending auctions and in years past had piloted single engine and multi- engine aircraft.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Janice Maxine Howard; daughter, Lisa Ann Volpitto; sister, Elizabeth Howard Carreras and brother, Herman Howard.

Great- grandchildren: Brieanna Howard, Bella Howard, Michael Howard, and Wyatt Howard
Step- grandchildren: Cole Logue, Janie Logue, Lane Logue and Brier Logue
Visitation will be held Monday, June 27 th from 6pm until 9pm at Beggs Funeral Home, 200 May Ave, Lincolnton
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 28 th at 2 p.m. at Platt's Funeral Home Chapel, 721 Crawford Ave., Augusta . The family will receive friends in the chapel one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Augusta.
