Wilbur "Larry" Cook

Thomson GA – Mr. Wilbur Larry Cook, 77, entered into rest July 22, 2019.

Mr. Cook, a longtime resident of Thomson, was born in Uvalda, Georgia, the son of the late W.B. Cook, Jr. and the late Nadine Martin Cook.  He was a U.S. Army Ranger and Vietnam veteran.  Mr. Cook worked at Mays International for over 20 years and attended Bethel Baptist Church.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Roberta Elaine Cook.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Barbara Hudgins Cook; daughters, Sabrina Cook Kemper (Jeremy) of Brunswick and Crystal Cook McKnight of Aiken, SC; stepsons, Chuck Valentine of Thomson, GA, Randy Valentine of FL, and James Valentine of NJ; sister, Annette Cook Hobbs of Gibson, GA; and 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, July 26, 2019 in the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Ferrell officiating.

The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 p.m., Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.
