Mr. Wayne Domingus Usry, 79, of Warrenton, Georgia went to his final resting place at Warrenton Health and Rehab on February 14, 2021.  He was born in Augusta, Georgia on October 2, 1941, to the late Domingus Usry and the late Mattie Irby Usry.

Mr. Usry was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Gail Usry and Gary Usry.  He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Jerry Gunn Usry of Warrenton; his son, Derrick Usry (Gina) of Braselton; his daughter, Tracy Usry of Warrenton; his sister, Zelma Hart of Warrenton; his grandchildren, Stefen Usry (Taylor) and Dalton Usry; and his great grandchildren, Oakley Usry and Sage Lynn Usry.

Mr. Usry grew up in Glascock County but lived most of his life in Warrenton, Warren County, and went to ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­Glascock County High School.  He attended Warrenton First United Methodist and worked in the textile industry at Health Tex and Garland Knitting Mills, worked at Farmers Hardware and was a golfer.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at the Johnson Family Cemetery in Warren County, GA with Rev. Sandra Lightner, Officiating.  The family will receive friends at the graveside.

The family requests, that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made in his memory to Warrenton First United Methodist Church.

Per CDC requirements, the family will be observing social distancing, and masks are requested and appreciated.   Due to the current national health concern, the family would appreciate phone calls, cards, texts, and e-mails.
