Dearing, GA - Mr. Wayne Harrison Shelton, 58, of Augusta Hwy, SE entered July 2, 2017 at University Hospital-McDuffie.

Mr. Shelton was a lifelong resident of McDuffie County, GA and was the son of the late Henry Shelton and the late Barbara Davis Shelton. He was a 1976 graduate of Thomson High School and served in the U. S. Navy. Mr. Shelton was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and had served as Past President of the Thomson High School Booster Club.

Survivors include his brothers, Mike Shelton (Nancy) of Dearing, GA, Steve Shelton (Ginga) of Thomson, GA; nieces, Christen Willcox (Chris) and Harley Shelton; and great nieces, Savannah Kate Willcox and Mason Bentley Redman.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 05, 2017 in the chapel of Beggs Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Holbrook officiating.
