Wanda M. Holloway

Mrs. Wanda M. Holloway, 89 formerly of  Double Branches Road, entered into rest on Wednesday, November 26 ^th at Lake Crossing Health Center.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 29 ^th at 2 p.m. at Martin's Crossroads Congregational Holiness Church  with interment following in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church from 1p.m. until the hour of the funeral on Saturday.

Mrs. Holloway, daughter of the late William H. and Ida Keller McKinney, was born and raised in Akron, Ohio.

She married Leslie Holloway in 1948 and resided in Akron a few years before moving to the  Double Branches community of Lincoln County. Afterwards, they built the 378 Drive-in.

A pianist since age 7, she shared her musical talent, playing for funerals and served as church pianist at Martin's Crossroads Congregational Holiness Church where she was a member for many years. In later years, she played the piano at the nursing home.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie; and grandchildren, Joel Robert "Trey" Cooper and April Landrum; and sisters, Marguerite Moore and Dorothy Lohr.

She will be missed by many including family members:

Daughters: Linda H. Cooper and husband, Bob

Vicky H. Dawkins

Grandchildren: Ida Stacey C. Radford, Joshua Lee Cooper, and Jamie Landrum

Great- grandchildren: Hudson Leslie Radford, Sydney Radford, Madison Kelly, and Joel Cooper

Sister-in-law: Frances Holloway

Brother-in-law: Walter Holloway and wife, Betty all of Lincolnton
