WALTER ZUST, Jr. McCormick, SC Lt. Col. Walter Zust, Jr., U.S. Air Force Ret., 81 of Mallard Lane, McCormick died Wed., Dec. 10, 2008 at DDEAMC, McCormick, SC. His remains have been conveyed to Ahlgrim & Sons 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine, IL. 60067. 847-358-7411. A funeral service will be scheduled later this week in Skoki, IL. Lt. Col. Zust was a native of Skoki, IL. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, and retired from the U.S. Air Force. He had lived in the Chicago area until 1990 when he and his wife, Barbara moved to Savannah Lakes Village in McCormick. Also, he had been a class agent at Beloit College in Wisconsin. More recently, he had served as treasurer for the 90th Bomber Air Force Group, volunteered for the Habitat for Humanity, McCormick Road Warriors and the Savannah Heights Nursing Center. Survivors: Wife:Barbara Lammers Zust Sons: Brad Zust, Bettendorf, Il., Scott Zust, Woodstock, Ga. and Randy Zust, Algonquin, Fl. Daughters: Julie Hicks, Hawaii, and Sara Roth, Peoria, Arizona Sister: Lois Z. Kline, Scottsdale, Az. 17 Grandchildren
