Mr. Melvin Finley, 83 of Lincolnton entered into rest on Wednesday, May 23, 2017 at Wills Memorial Hospital in Washington.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Martin's Crossroads Congregational Holiness Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service in the church sanctuary.
Mr. Finley, son of the late Clifton and Ethel White Finley, had lived in Lincoln County most of his life. He retired as a supervisor from Milliken, having worked at McCormick Mill and Kingsley Mill during his career. He was Pentecostal.
Survivors are his wife, Matilda Ashmore Finley; daughter, Tangie McKinney and husband, Jeff of Lincolnton; Sons, Tim Finley and wife Kathy of N. Augusta, S.C., Ted Finley, Lincolnton; Brothers, Eugene Finley and wife, Martha, Nathan Finley; Sisters, Irene Ramsey, Dorothy Sellars, and Beatrice Gibbons; grandchildren, Kim Gilbreath, Brian Finley, T.J. Finley, Corrie Lesesne, Natalie Finley, Jillian McKinney, and Trent McKinney.
