Gibson, GA - Mrs. Vivian Swint Smith, 69, entered into rest January 29, 2016 at University Hospital.

Mrs. Smith was a native of Glascock County and the daughter of the late Roy Swint and the late Corene Chalker Swint Todd. She was retired as the nutrition manager at Gibson Health and Rehabilitation. Mrs. Smith was a member of Magnolia Baptist Church and served as the church clerk. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Smith was predeceased by her, husband, Earl Smith; son, Jimmy Smith; brother, Ernest Swint and sister, Elaine S. Gilmer.

Survivors include her nephew, Michael Gilmer (Stephanie); brother in law, Allen Gilmer and great niece, Breanna Gilmer and great nephew, Boone Gilmer all of Gibson, GA; nieces, Gail S. Norris of Warrenton and Angie S. Kemp of Gibson.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock p.m., Monday, February 1 st at Magnolia Baptist Church, Gibson, GA with Rev. Tommy Harwell and Rev. James Canada officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

It is the family's request that memorials be made to the Magnolia Baptist Church, c/o Louis Swint, P.O. Box 95, Gibson, GA 30810.

Mrs. Smith's family would like to express their gratitude to caregivers, Robert and Rozella.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Sunday, January 31 st at the funeral home.

Beggs Funeral Home, 799 Cobbham Rd., Thomson, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
