Virginia Edmunds Neal
Harlem, GA-Mrs. Virginia Edmunds Neal, 86, passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2014. She was the wife of the late Julian Smith Neal and the mother of the late Alex Mance Neal.
Mrs. Neal was born in Columbia County, GA and was the daughter of the late James Meldeau Edmunds and the late Lillian Prather Edmunds Reed. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Barrett Meldeau Edmunds, Ella Edmunds Dozier, Charles Henry Edmunds.
Mrs. Neal was a graduate of Harlem High School and attended Georgia College for Women in Milledgeville. She taught school in the Columbia and McDuffie County School System for many years. Mrs. Neal was also a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, Harlem.
It was Mrs. Neal's request that no service be held.
Beggs Funeral Home, Thomson, GA is in charge of arrangements.
