Virginia Wilson Cooper Thomson, Georgia- Mrs. Virginia Wilson Hardy Cooper, 85, of Ridge Ave. entered into rest October 18, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 21, 2012 at the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. M. L. Barber officiating. Interment will follow in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Cooper was born in Unicoi, Tennessee but lived in Thomson, Georgia most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Nelson L. Wilson and the late Cleo Lamons Wilson. Mrs. Cooper was retired Civil Service from Ft. Gordon with 32 years of service. She attended Iron Hill Advent Christian Church. Survivors include her son, Jimmy Elton Hardy and wife, Angela of Aiken, SC; brother, Nelson "Bunkey" Wilson, Jr. of Swainsboro, GA; grandchildren, Elton Hardy, Drema Hardy and Amaya Hardy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elton Hardy. Memorials may be made to Iron Hill Advent Christian Church. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 21, 2012 at the funeral home. Beggs Funeral Home, Thomson, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
