Vera McCord Eve

Thomson, GA – Ms. Vera entered into rest September 26, 2015.

Vera was born in Camak, Georgia to the late Clifford Norris and the late Louise Ansley Norris. She retired as Postmaster from the Camak Post Office with over 30 years of service. Vera was a member of the Cleopatra Chapter Order of the Eastern Star for over 50 years and a member of Second Baptist Church. She was gifted with the ability to sing and had a passion for music. There wasn't an instrument that she could not play and she had never taken any music lessons. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Luther E. McCord and Phillip H. Eve, Jr.

Survivors include her son, Larry McCord and wife, Angela of Clarks Hill, SC; brother, George Clifford "Buddy" Norris of Augusta, GA; grandchildren, Chasidy M. Williams and husband, Jonathan, Brandee M. Severson and husband, Travis; great grandchild, Trenten McCord; and stepchildren, Phillip H. Eve, III, John Eve, David Eve, Diana Rosen and their families.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock, p.m., Monday, September 28, 2015 at Second Baptist Church with Rev. Lester Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow in the Camak Cemetery.

In addition to flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Second Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
