Mrs. Velma Crook
Mrs. Velma Ledbetter Crook, 85 formerly of Chamberlain Ferry Rd., entered into rest on Saturday, December 26, 2015 at Lake Crossing Health Care, Appling.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Martin's Crossroads Congregational Holiness Church with Rev. James James officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the funeral.
Mrs. Crook, a native of Marietta, had lived in Lincoln County for many years. She was a bookkeeper and had been employed by Dr. Richard Owens for over 19 years, Wells Oil Co. for 9 years and retired from McWhorter Logging. She was a member of Martin's Crossroads Congregational Holiness Church. Her husband, Edward Crook, preceded her in death.
