Tommy Thornton

Mr. Tommy Thornton, 84 , formerly of North Alexander Dr., entered into rest on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at the Georgia War Veterans Home, Milledgeville.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday,  September 22, 2015 at 11 a.m.  at Bethel United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends on hour prior to the service at the church.

Mr. Thornton, son of the late Thomas and Mary Helen Combs Thornton, was a native of Elbert County but had lived in Washington most of his life. He had been employed by Burt Lumber Company, had been a pawn broker, and jeweler. He had coached little league.
