Tommy Jerome Neal

Tommy Jerome Neal, 76, of Evans, GA entered into rest January 7, 2021.

Mr. Neal was born in Augusta, GA to the late B.B. Neal and the late Magdaline Miller Neal.

He graduated from Butler High School in Richmond County. Mr. Neal worked as a manager and supervisor with Food Lion, Bigstar and retired from Bilo in Hilton Head. He was an avid golfer, he enjoyed fishing and loved children. Mr. Neal attended Journey Community Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. Neal was predeceased by brother, Jerry Neal and sister, Gwen Enlow.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Sherry T. Neal; sons, Mark Neal (Cindy) of N. Augusta, SC, George Marshall (Cynthia) of Appling, GA; daughters, Audra Neal of New York, Tammy Meissner (Michael) of Appling, GA, Melanie Peck of Hilton Head, SC; brothers, Paul Wayne Neal (Paula) of Charleston, West Virginia and Donald Neal of Augusta, GA ; 8 grandsons, 2 granddaughters and 5 great grandchildren and niece Monica McNatt (Chris) of Beech Island, SC.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, January 17, 2021 at Bellevue Memorial Gardens, Grovetown, GA with Dr. Shirley Dempsey, Chaplain officiating. Pallbearers will be grandsons and close friends, Josh Marshall, Daniel Marshall, Jonathan Marshall, Trevor Peck, Kirk Watts and Dustin Meissner. Honorary pallbearers will be: Tyree Meissner, Matthew Neal, Dakota Meissner, and Travis Meissner.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1 until 2 p.m., Sunday in the Bellevue Memorial Gardens Chapel.

It is the family's request that memorial contributions be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Per CDC requirements the family will be observing social distancing. Masks are required and appreciated. Due to the current national health concern, the family would appreciate all phone calls, cards, texts, and e-mails.
