Martinez, Georgia – Tina Beckworth Weir, age 51, passed away on July 17, 2017 at The Place in Martinez.

She is survived by her husband, Bryan Weir of Augusta; a son, James David Weir (Candi) of Thomson; one daughter, Debra Ann Weir of Augusta. She leaves 4 grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren along with her family, David and Betsy Weir. A native of Augusta, she was preceded in death by her parents, Geraldine and George Beckworth; one brother, Johnny Beckworth of Thomson; and two sisters, Patricia Beckworth of Hephzibah and Janice Noggle of Thomson.

Tina was a native of Augusta, but lived in Thomson for years where she attended Thomson High School. Tina was a loving, caring mother and generous family member. She responded to many in need with what she could do to help and bolster their spirits. Tina loved playing softball and skating at the roller rink in her teens when she was still able to be active. Her family will miss her lively spirit and presence in their lives.

The family wants to recognize the nurses and their assistants for the loving care at The Place in Martinez.

There will be a memorial service at a later date.
