Timothy "Tim" Jay Price

It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of Timothy J. Price, who departed this life on August 17, 2025 at the age of 74. Son of the late William Jay and Darlene Ruth Ratliff Price, he was born on August 30, 1950 in Portsmouth, Ohio where he lived until moving to the Augusta area in 1983. He had been in Lincoln County since 1987. During his career, he had worked in maintenance supervision for Castleberry's Crider's and H.P. Pelzer.

Timothy lived a life marked by kindness, integrity, and devotion to his family and friends. He was known for his music, his amazing personality, his care, love, generosity, and for the way he made others feel valued and cared for. Timothy dedicated much of his life to his family and found great joy in playing his guitars and banjo, with his best friend and band mate, Doug Johnson and TDC . He also enjoyed his Atlanta Braves and visiting his cabin in Hayesville, North Carolina. To his loved ones, he was a steady presence—a source of wisdom, laughter, and unconditional support. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl S. Price, his children, Kimberly S. Wright (Keith), Kara "Sissy" Collins (Austin), Bud R. Price, and Kerry Doub (Brian), his grandkids, Haleigh, Avery, Brianna, Abbey, Greyson, Caleb, Cade, Parker, Nathan, and Abram, as well as many friends who will cherish his memory. Timothy's life was a gift to all who knew him. Though he is no longer with us, his legacy of love, faith, and kindness will remain forever in the hearts of those he touched.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 3pm at his residence.
