Timothy "Tim" Brian Crook

SSG. Timothy Brian "Tim" Crook, USAR, Ret. of Crook Rd., Lincolnton entered into rest on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at his residence. He was 61 years old.

Tim, son of the late Claude and Betty Weber Crook was born on February 2, 1961 in Lincoln County. He grew up in Lincolnton and graduated from LCHS in 1979. He served in the US Army National Guard and then US Army Reserves where he retired as a Staff Sergeant. Throughout his career, he was a car salesman for many years with Johnson Chevrolet, Buick and Cadillac, and their successors.  In addition, he was employed as a corrections officer for Georgia Department of Corrections. He joined Hephzibah Baptist Church at an early age. After retirement, he moved back to Lincoln County and reunited with his home church in which he dearly loved serving on the House and Grounds Committee.  His pride was keeping the churchyard spotless and maintaining the flower beds. Other interests included being a an avid Georgia Bulldogs Fan, keeping an immaculate truck but not very long as the salesman in him kept him trading frequently and being the straightest Crook in town with his love for pranks..

He will be greatly missed by his daughters, Katye B. Cox and husband Sam along with their son, River of Lincolnton and Miranda Crook and fiance' T.J. Jones of Washington; brothers, Darrell Crook and Mike Crook both of Lincolnton; sisters, Cyndi McKay of Ten Mile, TN and Jane Dawkins of Washington; his nieces and nephews and church family.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 15, 2023 at 3pm at Hephzibah Baptist Church with Revs. Elliott Smith and Allen Danner officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1:30pm until the hour of the funeral on Sunday.
