Thomas F. Woods

Mr. Thomas F. "Tommy" Woods, 57, of Salem Rd. went to be with the lord on October 12, 2014. Mr. Woods was born in Germany, grew up in the Winfield Community of Appling, GA, graduated from Harlem High School and lived in Thomson for many years. Mr. Woods was a Project Manager Supervisor with Acuren Inspections. He was an avid horseman and loved the outdoors. Mr. Woods was a loving and caring father son, brother and friend. He was a Christian and enjoyed all of God's creations. Survivors include his son, Thomas Adam Woods; father, Bruce Woods (Mabel); brothers, Charles F. Woods (Gwen), James Higdon, Joey Higdon, Jeff Higdon (Christine), David Schram; sisters, Christa Weaver, Hannelore R. Woods; and special friends, Clark Fredericks, Jane Fredericks and Carlene Pilgrim. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Westview Cemetery, Thomson with Rev. Allen Holbrook officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Cancer Treatment Centers of America. Beggs Funeral Home, 799 Cobbham Rd., Thomson, GA is in charge of arrangements.
