Thomas A. "Billy" Smith, Sr. Thomson, GA - Mr. Thomas A. "Billy" Smith, Sr., 85 of Michael Street died January 31, 2012. He was the husband of the late Virginia Durham Smith. Graveside services will be held Thursday, February 2, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens with Rev. Don Widener officiating. Mr. Smith was born in Warren County and lived most of his life in McDuffie County. He was retired as owner and operator of Smith's Sanitation. Mr. Smith was a member of the Macedonia United Methodist Church. Survivors include his son, Tommy Smith, Jr. and wife, Debbie of Gibson; daughter, Sandra Godwin and husband, John of Englewood, Fl; one brother, Walker Smith and his wife, Faye of Thomson, parented grandchild, Josh Smith (Shana); his other grandchildren, Angela Usry, Amanda Wheeler (Roy), Michael Washam and eight great-grandchildren.
