Mr. Thomas Woodfin Lane Waynesboro, GA Mr. Thomas W. Lane, 91, of Collins Road Waynesboro, entered into rest on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at his residence. He was a native of Lincoln County, but had lived most of his life in Augusta prior to joining his daughter in 2010. The husband of the late Marjorie Timmerman Lane, he had retired from Continental Can Corporation as a mechanic. Mr. Lane was of the Baptist faith, a member of the Woodmen of the World, and a Mason. Survivors include his daughter, Denise L. Purvis, wife of the late James (Jay) Purvis of Waynesboro; his son, James C. Lane and wife, Colleen of North Augusta, SC; a brother, Warren Russell Lane of McDonough, GA; along with eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Graveside funeral services will be conducted from the Double Branches Baptist Church Cemetery at 1:00pm on Monday, February 18, 2013, with Rev. Mark Joyner officiating. The family will receive friends at the graveside from 12:30pm until the hour of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Double Branches Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
