Thomas W. "Tom"Adams

Thomson, GA – Mr. Thomas W. "Tom" Adams, 73, entered into rest December 7, 2015 at University Hospital.

Mr. Adams was born in Havre de Grace, Maryland.  He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He graduated from the University Of Florida School of Forestry. He moved to Thomson, GA in 1975 and worked with ITT Rayonier as a forester.  He was retired from the Richmond County Department of Engineering. Mr. Adams was a member of Thomson Presbyterian Church.  He was predeceased by his father, Thomas C. Adams and a sister, Karen Lutrell.

Survivors include his son, Chris Adams (Tracey); daughter, Missy Conner (Eric) all of Thomson, GA; mother, Ruth T. Adams; sister, Ruthie Martin (Bob) all of Townsend, TN; and his grandchildren, Lauren Stanley, Josh Adams, Austin Cooper, Hayden Conner, Drew Usry, and Emily Usry.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock p.m., Thursday, December 10, 2015 in the chapel of Beggs Funeral Home with Rev. Hank Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Larry Montgomery, Austin Cooper, Josh Adams, Tyler Godbee, Drew Usry and Matt Stanley.

Friends may call at the residence of Missy and Eric Conner, 280 Brentwood Drive, Thomson, GA or from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at the funeral home.
