Theda Dawkins

Mrs. Theda M. Dawkins, 91, wife of the late Richard E. Dawkins, Sr. of Eubank Lane, entered into rest on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 18 ^th at 11 a.m. at Damascus Baptist Church . Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10 am until the hour of the service in the church.

Mrs. Dawkins, a native of Durant, OK, was a homemaker and had lived in the Augusta area since 1969. She was a faithful member of Damascus Baptist Church where she had served as a Sunday School teacher for the 3 ^rd to 5 ^th graders for many years. She and her husband, the late Richard E. Dawkins, Sr. enjoyed traveling with their church family and playing canasta. Her son, Rick Dawkins, preceded her in death.

She is survived by her daughters, Pat D. McElraft and husband, Roger of Emerald Isle, NC; Vicki D. Jones and husband, Sonny of Appling; Debbie D. Robertson and husband, Robbie of Appling;  Daughter-in-law, Nancy Dawkins, Whitesboro, TX., Grandchildren,  Christy LeMaire, Tracie Huhnke,  Stacia O'Connor, Trevor McElraft, Brent Jones, Jennifer Kerr, Nathan Robertson and Courtney Prouty; Great- grandchildren; Emma O'Connor, John O'Connor, Colby Jones, Cayde Jones, Coleman Jones, Tanner Kerr, Taegan Kerr, Noah Robertson, Logan Robertson, and Price Prouty, Jacob Williams, Emily Williams, Dillon Williams, Riley Huhnke, and Reese Huhnke and two great- great grandchildren.
