Suzanne Romanick Schacher

Suzanne May Schacher, 80, died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015 at Self Memorial Hospital in Greenwood, SC. Born April 30, 1935 in Fargo ND, she was the daughter of Harry and Alice Romanick. Resident of Savannah Lakes Village for almost 20 years after the retirement of her husband Dwight. Very busy in the community as a Friends of the Library board member and editor of the newsletter for 14 years; member of the Habitat for Humanity Partnership Committee and Habitat Store volunteer; RC Bridge Buddies coordinator for a long time.  Active in bridge groups and the Red Hat group. Loved gardening of all types especially her orchids and African Violets. She had a green thumb and could grow anything. Homemaker, winemaker, fun and trouble maker.  She will be missed but alive in our memories forever. Pre-deceased by her husband, Dwight, of 55 years, her survivors include sons Jeff and wife Traci; Kurt and wife Steacy; Tim and wife Debbie; 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Friends of the Library, McCormick County Humane Society, or a charity of your choice. Beggs Funeral Home, Lincolnton, GA, is in charge. No funeral services have been arranged at this time.
