Thomson, GA – Ms. Susan Frances Driver, 61, entered into rest January 4, 2025 at Wellstar MCG Health Medical Center in Augusta.
Forever the baby of four girls, Susan grew up in Thomson and was the daughter of the late Gaines and Frances Driver. She had her father's sense of humor, her mother's love for family and was often the loudest in the room, sure to crack a joke and enjoy the laughter it brought. Following in her Daddy's spirit, Susan continued the family tradition of calling family on their birthday and singing to them. She loved it just as much as the person on the receiving end.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Driver was predeceased by her sister, Renae Bowman and nephew, Jonathan Alley.
Survivors include her son, Erik Phillips of Evans; sisters, Gainette Haywood of Thomson and Janice Alley (John) of Martinez; great aunt, Patty McGrath of Black Mountain, NC; grandchildren Mason and Kendall Phillips; nieces, Natalie Scoggins and Shannon (Art) Temple; nephew Jordan (Christine) Haywood; seven great nieces and nephews and several lifelong friends she loved like family.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, January 9, 2025 in the chapel of Beggs Funeral Home with Pastor Dusty Wammack officiating.
The family will receive friends before the service on Thursday from 1p.m. until 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Please visit www.beggsfuneralhome.net to sign the family's personal guestbook.
