SGT. STEVE AARON McCOY US ARMY SGT. STEVE AARON McCOY of Ft. Stewart, GA entered into rest Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at Brooke Army Medical Center, Ft. Sam Houston, San Antonio, Texas. He was the beloved husband of Tabitha Moore McCoy and devoted father of four-year old twins, Landen and Ryley McCoy. Funeral services will be held at 5:00 PM, Thursday, June 19, 2008 at the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Captain Eugene Mack and Dr. Ray Hope officiating. Interment will follow at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens with Full Military Honors. Sgt. McCoy was born in Bossier City, Louisiana, but lived in Moultrie, GA. He was a Devoted Squad Leader, An American Soldier---A Infantry Man. Sgt. McCoy's military awards include: Purple Heart, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, and The Combat Infantry Badge. Survivors include: Wife: Tabitha McCoy - Fort Stewart, GA Children: Twins, Landen (son) and Ryley (daughter) - Ft. Stewart, GA Parents: Sam & Pam McCoy - Warrenton, GA Brother: Staff Sgt. Eric McCoy (Misty) - Fort Polk, LA Nieces: Rebecca, Autumn and Rachel McCoy - Fort Polk, LA Grandmother: Ann D. McCoy - Warrenton, GA Aunts: Rosanna M. Wren and Phyllis M. Giddens Uncle: Charles D. (Danny) McCoy Father & Mother-in-law: Steve and Becky Moore - Moultrie, GA Brothers-in-law: Gadston Moore (fiance, Wendy Tyson), Niece: Payton Moore - Moultrie, GA Dusty Moore (Sarah) - Moultrie, GA Grandmother-in-law: Rheunnell Phillips Sgt. McCoy was preceded in death by his Grandfather Roland V. McCoy who was a WWII veteran of Warrenton and grandfather-in-law Bob Phillips of Moultrie. Friends may call at the residence of Sgt.
