Sonia G. Lincoln

Ms. Sonia Lincoln, 82 of Jones Chapel Rd. died Fri., Feb. 6, 2009 at her residence. She was born January 14th 1927 in Bronx, New York, attended Music and Art High School, completing her Bachelors degree in art history at Queens College in New York and going on to graduate study in art history at New York University. She had an insatiable curiosity and maintained a lifelong commitment to learning. After New York City, Sonia moved to Connecticut and Pennsylvania before choosing Lincolnton as her home. It is there that she realized her longtime dream of living in a peaceful rural setting. She is survived by a daughter Evelyn, a daughter Sarah and a son Joshua Lincoln as well as three grandchildren: Hannah Lincoln, and Nicole and Cory Hester.
