Sindy Lou Schnelker Goble, 68 passed away peacefully on February 21, 2025, in Lincolnton, Georgia.
She was born on March 16, 1956 in Savannah to the late Robert Schnelker and Barbara Springfield Washburn. She cherished her memories of coastal Georgia but found her true home in Lincolnton, where she lived for 30 years after moving from Augusta. Sindy's professional life was characterized by dedication and hard work; she served as the office manager for McWhorter Logging Company for 18 years. Prior to that, she contributed her talents to the Lincoln County Water and Planning Department, where she was highly regarded for her professionalism and warmth. Family was the cornerstone of Sindy's life. She was the devoted mother to her three sons, Grayson (Rebekah) Goble, of Lincolnton, Grant (Rebecca) Goble, of Lincolnton and Garrett (Audriana) Goble, of Cherokee, Iowa. Her sister, Holly (Robert) Newberry, shared a special bond with Sindy that transcended time and distance. Sindy's role as the matriarch of her family was one she embraced with every fiber of her being and she adored her grandchildren, Alana, Hannah, Sidalee, Christian, and Adelynn. Sindy's life was graced by the companionship of her loyal German Shepherd, Sasha, who was a constant source of comfort and joy. Her brother, Robert Schnelker, and her grandson, Jonathan Goble preceded her in death. The memories they shared will forever be cherished and remembered with fondness and deep affection. Sindy's interests and passions were a reflection of her vibrant spirit. She was an ardent supporter of the Georgia Bulldogs, sharing her enthusiasm and team spirit with all around her. Her cowgirl friends were an extension of her family, and together they shared countless adventures and laughter. Above all, Sindy's love for her family knew no bounds. She was the heart and soul of family gatherings, and her presence was synonymous with warmth, laughter, and unconditional love. Those who knew Sindy will remember her as loving, kind, and friendly—a woman who welcomed everyone with open arms and an open heart. Her ability to connect with people from all walks of life was one of her most remarkable qualities. Sindy's impact on the world was as profound as it was gentle, and her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.
