Shirley Kelley Mays

Mrs. Shirley Bessinger Mays, of Cartledge Road, entered into rest January 4, 2013 at University Hospital in Augusta. A homemaker and native of Glascock County, she had lived in Lincolnton a number of years. Survivors include a loving companion, Nathan Cliatt; a daughter: Deborah Pinion & husband, Billy, of Augusta; two sons: Robert Bessinger of Albany, GA and Jeffery Bessinger & wife, Tiffany, of Lincolnton; a sister, Patricia Young & husband, John, of Lincolnton; six grandchildren: Kristina Kinzle & husband, Anthony, Jeremy Pinion, Jessica Pinion, Josh Bessinger, Storm Bessinger, and Levi Bessinger; and one great-grandchild: Jenna Kinzle. Memorial Services will be held at the Martins Crossroads Congregational Holiness Church at 2:00 pm on Monday, January 7, 2013. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, January 6, 2013 from 5:00 - 7:00pm.
