Scott McQuaig Family Eye Care Associates Thomson, Georgia- Mr. Michael Scott McQuaig, Jr., 30, of Brinkley Drive entered into rest October 25, 2012. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 27, 2012 at First United Methodist Church, Thomson with Rev. John Barnes, Dr. Robert Bowling and Rev. Beverly Casstevens officiating. Scott was a lifelong resident of McDuffie County, Georgia. He was a 2000 Graduate of Augusta Christian and attended South Georgia College where he excelled in Baseball. He also attended Georgia Southern University and graduated with Dean's Honors. Scott worked as an Opthalmic Technician with Family Eye Care Associates. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Thomson. Survivors include his parents, Dr. Michael Scott McQuaig, Sr. and Ann L. McQuaig; daughter, Ansley Lynette McQuaig; son, Aden Scott McQuaig; sister, Lee Anna Hollis and husband, Benjamin; maternal grandmother, Anna Lloyd Hook and husband, Dr. Harold E. Hook. Mr. McQuaig was preceded in death by grandparents, Charles E. McQuaig, Frances McQuaig Lawrence and L. D. Powell. Friends may call the residence of Dr. and Mrs. Michael McQuaig, Sr., 1406 Brinkley Drive, Thomson, Georgia or the family will receive friends following the memorial service at the church.
