Warrenton, GA -Mrs. Sara Shurley Reese Myers, 101, entered into rest February 11, 2018 at Gibson Health & Rehabilitation.

Miss Sara was a native of Warren County, GA and the daughter of the late Edgar Shurley and the late Sallie Johnson Shurley. She lived in Thomson for many years and was retired from Thomson Company with 35 years of service. Following retirement, she lived in Warrenton and she was the oldest member of Johnson United Methodist Church. She was predeceased by her husband Otis Reese and James Myers.

Survivors include her daughter, Edith Gheesling; grandchildren, Tony Thigpen (Cathy), Brenda Bland (James) and great grandchildren, April Kitchens (Brad), Catlyn Thigpen, Carri Thigpen, Kristan Bland and Tiffany Bland and great great grandchild, Sara Kitchens

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Johnson United Methodist Church with Revs. David Jenkins and Don Richards officiating. Interment will follow in Johnson Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Johnson Cemetery Fund.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
