Sara Warr Langford Barnett, 93, of Woodstock, Georgia

Sara Barnett was a woman of deep faith throughout her life.  She loved Jesus and she went to be with him on December 14, 2023.  She took her last breaths as her daughters sang "Softly and Tenderly, Jesus is Calling" and "I'll Fly Away".  She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Sally Warr; her brother, Robert Warr; her sister, Margaret Edmunds; her first husband, Dana Langford and her second husband, Beeman Barnett.  She was born on April 11, 1930 in Thomson, GA.   Her early years were spent on a dairy farm (Warr's Dairy) where she helped on the farm and delivered milk before school.  She married Dana Langford of Little Texas, AL in 1949 and had four daughters Peggy Daniels (Bruce), Sandra Langford, LaWanna Joyner (Barry) and Teresa Adams (David).  In 1982, she married Beeman Barnett and loved his children John Barnett (Kim), Beth Rodgers (Charlie) and their children as her own.

She was industrious as she served on the Draft Board during the Vietnam years, opened and operated a Merle Norman cosmetic studio and the Book Nook, worked for her sister, Margaret, at Green Leaf Florist, and sold Mary Kay cosmetics.  She finally retired at age 80.  Besides family and friends, she adored gardening, and the flowers it produced, baking, and most of all walking with God.

She is survived by one brother, Alan M. Warr (Pennsylvania); her four daughters, eight grandchildren, and one great grandchild, Beeman's son and daughter, 6 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church, Thomson, GA at 11:00AM with the visitation being held earlier at 9:30.  For those who desire to be make donations in her name, please make them to the Capital Improvement Fund at First Baptist Church, Thomson.  Condolences may be sent to Teresa Adams at 245 White Oak Road, Pine Mountain, GA  31822.
