Dearing, GA – Mrs. Sandra Faye Payne Brackett, 70, entered into rest November 19, 2019.

Mrs. Brackett, the daughter of the late Floyd Payne and the late Virginia Smith Payne, was born in Kingsport, TN, but grew up in the Augusta-Harlem area.  She worked at Greene's Fine Food and Tracey-Luckey before retiring to be a full-time homemaker and great cook.  Mrs. Brackett enjoyed playing cards, gardening, and fishing.  She was an animal lover who was involved with animal rescue and she loved her family.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 53 years, Kenneth Brackett; daughters, Penny Culpepper (Chris) of Harlem, GA, Angie Padgett (B.B.) of Dearing, GA, Tina Hackley (Steve) of N Augusta, and Jenny Schlewitz (John) of Evans, GA; brothers, Floyd Payne, Jr. (Barbara) and Danny Payne (Nancy) both of Harlem, GA; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 25, 2019 in the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gene Johnson officiating.

The family will receive friends from 9 until 10 a.m., Monday at Beggs Funeral Home prior to the service.
