Sandra Maxwell Bell

Mrs. Sandra Maxwell Bell, 76 of Lincolnton, Ga. entered into rest on Sunday, January 5, 2019 at The Cooper House Personal Care Home.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at 3 p.m. at Goshen Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Lincolnton City Cemetery.

Mrs. Bell was born on February 8, 1943 in Norfolk, Va. She grew up in Lincolnton and graduated from Lincolnton High School in 1962. Following graduation, she lived in Augusta and was employed as an outpatient registrar at St. Joseph Hospital for many years. Following retirement, she and her husband Wesley Thomas Bell enjoyed many years living at lake in Lincoln County until his death in 2005.  She was a faithful member of Goshen Baptist Church. Throughout her physical challenges in recent years, she sustained her gentle and kind spirited personality. In addition to her parents, William "Bill" and Maggie East Maxwell and husband of 31 years, Wesley Thomas Bell she was preceded in death by her husband James F. Edwards, and her brother Wade Maxwell.

She is survived by her brother David Maxwell and wife Linda of Watkinsville, Ga.; nieces and nephews Rachel Pethel, Philip Maxwell, Valerie Reeves, Michelle Pruitt, Rebecca Maxwell and Greg Cook along with many cousins.
