Mr. Drinkard, a native of Wichita Falls, TX. had lived in California before moving to Martinez 18 years ago. He had served in the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and retired from the communications industry. Also, he was a NOAA weather observer. His father, S.W. Drinkard, Jr. preceded him in death.
