Sammy Lamar

Mr. Paul Samuel "Sammy" Lamar, 73 of West Rd., Crawfordville, Ga. entered into rest on Saturday, March 28, 2020 at Augusta University Medical Center.

Funeral plans are postponed due to COVID 19.

Mr. Lamar, son of the late Raymond and Helen Stevens Lamar, was a lifelong resident of Wilkes County. He was employed by CE minerals for over 20 years and later by McWhorter Logging as a heavy equipment operator. His hobbies included gardening and piddling. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Eugene Lamar.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Callaway; daughters, Tammy Gunter and husband Shane of Washington, Samantha Lamar of Union Point; sons, Rick Lamar of Buckhead, Sam Callaway and wife Tonya, Dennis Callaway and wife Paula all of Lincolnton; 4 grandchildren, Ty Gunter, Tripp Gunter, Khloe Saunders and Russell Callaway.
