Sabrina "Brie" Lorraine Oasen Licalzi

Sabrina "Brie" Lorraine Oasen LiCalzi, owner/operator of the Home Café in Lincolnton, GA, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly during the morning on Wednesday, August 6th, 2025, at the age of 47. The cause is unknown at this time.

Brie was welcomed to the world by first-time parents Richard "Rick" and Margaret "Maggie" Oasen on July 15th, 1978, in Haverhill, Massachusetts. She was baptized at Sacred Heart Church in Bradford, Massachusetts. While she did not have a church home, she professed a Christian faith all her life. Brie graduated from North Stafford High School with the class of 1997 and completed several college courses in accounting at Germanna Community College in Fredericksburg, VA. Brie was also certified as a Wilton's cake decorator and had an independent free-lance cake decorating business, "Blue Jean Bakery", where she designed and delivered custom cakes and desserts for special events from baby showers to weddings. She worked in hospitality in various capacities over the course of her career, most recently as the owner of Home Café, where she was widely known in the community for her homestyle American cooking and creative and delicious desserts. She was easily recognizable with her colorful headscarves, quirky earrings, and warm sense of welcome to all her guests and customers. Brie's biggest joy was her four children, Will, Jovet, Ami and Kat. She had a beaming smile and a contagious laugh along with an authentic kindness that was extended to everyone who met with her without prejudice. She was a hard worker, a vibrant personality, and a true friend. She was deeply loved, highly esteemed, and is missed desperately. Brie is preceded in death by her father, Rick Oasen. She is survived by her mother, Maggie Oasen nee Stanley, her husband, Geoff LiCalzi, her son William Thomas Patterson with his children, Andrew Thomas and Juliette Phoenix Katelynn Patterson, her daughters Jovet Elene, Ami Marie, and Katrina Annabelle Patterson, her brother Erik Oasen with his wife, Sarah Oasen nee Stone and their children, Elijah, Shepherd, Shylah, and Oskar Oasen, and her grandmother Doris Marie Oasen nee Raupp along with many other friends and relatives.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 16th, at 11:00 am at Lincolnton Methodist Church at 202 N Peachtree Street in Lincolnton, GA. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations made in Brie's name to the Epileptic Society of America or the National Network to End Domestic Violence.
