RUTH SHELTON RETIRED MARY KAY DIRECTOR Mrs. Ruth Yearwood Shelton of Wilkinson Circle Augusta, GA entered into rest April 09, 2008. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, April 11, 2008 from the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Charlie DeLoach amd James Bland officiating. Interment will follow in Prospect United Methodist Cemetery in Norwood, GA. Pallbearers will be: David Harper, Charles Harper, Lee Yearwood, Mark Yearwood, Guy Shivers, Jr. and Bob Shelton. Mrs. Shelton was born in Taliaferro County, GA and was the daughter of the late John Howard Yearwood and the late Lovee Chambers Yearwood. Ruth was a 1946 graduate Alexander Stephens Institute. She was retired as a Director with Mary Kay Cosmetics after 25 years of service. Mrs Shelton was instrumental in organizing Citizens for Neighborhood Schools in early 1971. She was a member of the Martinez Order of the Eastern Star #882 and a member of Bayvale Baptist Church where she served as Sunday School Teacher for many years. Survivors include: Her husband of 61 years: Lamar Shelton- Augusta,GA Sons: Wayne L. Shelton- East Lyme, CT John H. Shelton and his wife Lynn- Augusta,GA Brother: Reuben Yearwood- Covington,GA 2 Grandchildren: Heather Shelton and April Shelton Memorials may be made to Alzheimers or to Bayvale Baptist Church.
