Martinez, GA - Mrs. Ruth Poole, 89, formerly of Sparta entered into rest August 9, 2018.

Mrs. Poole was born in Wrightsville, GA to the late James Oscar Rawls, Sr. and the late Ruth Simpson Rawls. She lived in the Culverton Community of Hancock County for many years and taught Sunday School at Culverton United Methodist Church. Mrs. Poole enjoyed furniture refinishing and cooking Sunday lunch for her family. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Poole was predeceased by her son, Donald Poole; her husband, William Bradford "Brad" Poole; granddaughter, Rachel Kneip, and great grandson, Joshua Kneip.

Survivors include her children, William Bradford "Bill" Poole (Donna) of Eatonton, GA, Carol Bryant (Jesse) of Martinez, GA, Melinda Lively (Miller) of Waynesboro, GA; a brother, Jim Rawls (Gayle) of Wrightsville, GA; a sister, Willie Mae Garrett of Eatonton, GA and 6 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens  with Rev. Jan McCoy` officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:45 until 1:45 prior to the service.
