RUBY JOHNSON ABBOTT HOMEMAKER Mrs. Ruby Johnson Abbott 107 of Warrenton, GA entered into rest June 10, 2008 at Warrenton Health and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, June 13, 2008 at Johnson United Methodist Church with Dr. Gary Abbott and Rev. Charlie Knowles officiating. Interment will follow in the Johnson Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Dwight Foster, Glen Foster, Warren Jones, Keith Jones, Whit Whittington, Pat Smith, Eston Usry and Mike Rayfield . Honorary pallbearers will be Gene Chalker, Wayne Chalker, Ronald Abbott, Kenneth Ansley, and Lynwood Johnson. Mrs. Abbott was a lifelong resident of Warren County and was the daughter of the late Wesley Smith Johnson and the late Irene Pool Johnson. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Abbott was also the oldest member of Johnson United Methodist Church and the oldest member of the Burkhalter Chapter of the D.A.R. . Survivors include: Daughters: Dahlia Newsome- Thomson, GA Maxine Foster (Billy) - Centerville,GA Brother: Forest Johnson- Warrenton, GA Sister- Nell Chalker- Thomson,GA 5 Grandchildren: Brenda Jones, Kathy Whittington, Jimmy Newsome, Dwight Foster and Glen Foster. 4 Great- grandchildren and 5 Great- great grandchildren - Mrs. Abbott was preceded in death by a brother Harvey Johnson, a sister Josie Johnson, and a son-in-law Lewis Newsome. Memorials may be made to the Johnson Cemetery Fund, Joe Shurley, 642 Shurley Rd, Warrenton, GA 30828. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
