ROY HINTON, JR. CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT MR. ROY HINTON, JR. 70 of Morris Rd. Thomson, GA entered into rest June 11, 2009 at McDuffie Regional Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of Joyce Richards Hinton for 52 years. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, June 13, 2009 at New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Allen Holbrook officiating. Interment will follow at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be : Leon Newsome, Jr., Sid Campbell, J. W. Randolph, Bill Wadley, Steve Keene, Wayne Wilkerson. Mr. Hinton was a lifelong resident of McDuffie County and was the son of the late Roy Hinton, Sr. and the late Lena Mae Edwards Hinton. He was retired as a Construction Superintendent from Two-State Construction after 30 years of service. Mr. Hinton was a charter member of New Hope Baptist Church and also served as a Deacon. Survivors include: Wife: Joyce Richards Hinton Sons: Tony Hinton-Mississippi Tracy Hinton- Thomson, GA Troy Hinton and his wife Tanya- Evans, GA Sisters: Sarah Todd- Thomson, GA Betty Stephens- Washington,GA Grace Lindsey- Martinez,GA Grandchildren: Jeremy Hinton, Tyler Hinton, Nick Merck, Kenzi Merck, Jake Merck, Kayla Hinton and Jaxon Hinton Memorials may be made to the New Hope Baptist Church Building Fund 1424 Cobbham Rd.Thomson, GA 30824.
