Rosanna Gunn Newman

Thomson, GA- Mrs. Rosanna G. Newman, 59, entered into rest May 1, 2017.

Mrs. Newman was born in Thomson, Georgia to the late Daniel "Buddy" Gunn and the late Diane Baker Gunn.  She was a 1975 graduate of Thomson High School and attended Georgia Southern University and the Medical College of Georgia where she earned a B.A. in Nursing. Mrs. Newman was a retired Registered Nurse having worked for St. Joseph's Hospital, Trinity, MCG, and CSRA Home Health. She was a member of Sweetwater Baptist Church.

Survivors include her beloved husband, Neal Newman; brother, Danny Gunn of Thomson; sisters, Debra G. Skinner of Savannah, GA and Dinah G. Lovins of Augusta, GA; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Wanda Miles.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Sweetwater Baptist Church with Rev. Butch Baston officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
