Roberta Elaine Cook

Thomson, GA– Mrs. Roberta Elaine Cook, 72, of Gingerhill Rd. entered into rest Monday, June 26, 2016. at Doctor's Hospital.

Mrs. Cook was born in Dublin, GA and lived in Jackson SC before moving to Thomson. She was the daughter of the late Roe Lewis McLendon and the late Sara Elaine Campbell McLendon. She was a homemaker and a member of Marshall Baptist Church and the VFW Women's Auxillary. Mrs. Cook enjoyed writing to friends and reading and she never met a stranger.

Survivors include her husband, Wilber Larry Cook; sons, Chuck Valentine (Betty); James Valentine (Katie), Randy Valentine; daughters, Sabrina Cook (Jeremy), Crystal Cook Mcknight (Nathan); brother, Allen Ayers; sister, Sylvia Brady and nine grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Perkins officating.  Interment will follow in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m., Tuesday, June 28 at the funeral home.
