Robert "Robin" Edmond Brown

Robert Edmond Brown, known affectionately as Robin by his friends and family, passed from injuries in a motorcycle accident on April 28, 2024, at the age of 60 in Augusta, Georgia. Born on July 24, 1963, in Wilkes County, Georgia, Robin was a man whose hands were as warm as his heart, always ready to give and fix with equal measure. Robin grew up in in Lincolnton. He and his siblings lost their parents, Leonard Edmond Brown and Mary Johnson Brown when they were children and along with extended family, made the best of one of life's toughest obstacles and overcame many of life's challenges as young adults. He went on to graduate from LCHS in 1982, and his dedication to his country was evident in his service in the US Army for a brief time.  Robin discovered his calling in the world of maintenance. He lent his considerable skills to various companies, including Edison Plastics, Berry Plastics, Amcor, and Thomson Plastics.

When not immersed in his professional duties, Robin was a marvel with any tool in hand. His passion for mechanics extended beyond the workplace as he embraced the joy of buying and repairing cars, motorcycles, jet skis, and ATVs and selling them for a profit. His most recent position at Riverside Detail in Augusta was a testament to his enduring love for making the old new again. In his younger years, Robin attended Loco Baptist Church, where he embraced his faith and the fellowship of his neighbors. He is survived by his son, Richard Brown; brothers, Ricky Brown of Lincolnton and Tim Brown of Easley, SC, and his sister, Loree B. Dobbs of Sylva, NC.

Those who knew Robin will remember him as the embodiment of the word 'handy.' There was no challenge too great or task too small for his capable hands.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at 2 pm at Hephzibah Baptist Church Cemetery with visitation beginning one hour prior to the service in the church.
